Reading was always something I struggled to love
Though reading was what I struggled most with and took me a great deal of time to do, it in many ways became my escape (creating a real oxymoron of its own: a dyslexic who loves reading). Reading provided me with an outlet away from my home life, something I'd never experienced before. It was my way to live in an alternate reality and escape the demons of my childhood. These are an assortment of children’s books I found to be the most engaging and genuinely did the groundwork in fostering what once was a deep hatred, which later evolved to indifference and eventually became a deep love for reading.
